DILLI - HAAT

India's Heart -
Dilli Haat |
Adarsh
Kindergarten came alive in traditional and ethnic allure and presented a
fascinating picture of movement and colour as everyone celebrated 'Dilli
Haat' on 14th August 2010 on the eve of Independence Day.
The festivities began with a rustic feel of drumbeats and dancing with 'Kachi
Ghori' and proceeded towards the learned Pujari and his fortune telling
parrot, who blessed everyone by foretelling their future. There was a
dazzling display of colourful bangles, handicrafts, vibrantly coloured
fabrics and even a Mehndi Corner. The Magic and Puppet show transported
everyone to the sand dunes and camels of Rajasthan and charmed
everyone's heart.
The
potter moulded magic with clay and churned beautiful shaped terracotta
pots and diyas. The whole place was bursting with life as the Chana
Churwala, Balloon & Kite seller mingled with the crowd. Folk Dances
of Punjab, Haryana, Bengal & Tri-Colour Fan Dance on the song 'Vande
Matram' was a befitting salute to Our Motherland which took everybody's
breath away.
An array of tempting savouries was spread out to titillate one's palate.
It was a grand climax to a fabulous day. |
